About Me

With over thirty years of experience teaching Chinese to both local and international learners, I bring a deep understanding of how to support students at every stage of their language journey. I have taught core Chinese language courses from beginner to advanced levels, as well as specialised modules such as Business Chinese and Chinese Culture. This breadth of experience allows me to tailor my teaching precisely to the needs, goals, and learning styles of international students. My years of teaching abroad have further strengthened my pedagogical skills and enriched my cross‑cultural communication, enabling me to guide learners with confidence and cultural sensitivity.

My home is located on a beautiful university campus, complete with a serene artificial lake perfect for leisurely walks, a well‑equipped sports hall, a swimming pool, and two expansive sports fields—ideal for staying active and refreshed throughout your stay. Even more exciting, I can introduce you to real Chinese university life. You’ll have the chance to join classes, meet enthusiastic Chinese students, exchange ideas, share stories, practise Chinese in authentic conversations, and build meaningful friendships.

Description

My home is located in the staff housing complex of Shaanxi Normal University, offering a peaceful and secure environment within the campus. The apartment sits on the sixth floor of an eleven‑storey building, with one lift conveniently serving two flats per floor. Covering 124 square metres, the space includes three bedrooms, two living rooms, and two bathrooms. The main living area is connected to the kitchen, creating an open and welcoming atmosphere. The living room is furnished simply yet comfortably, while the kitchen is bright, clean, and well-maintained. The guest bedroom is 10 square metres and equipped with a single bed, a wardrobe, and a desk, as well as direct access to the balcony. Guests also enjoy the use of a private bathroom.

The staff housing area is part of Shaanxi Normal University’s Chang’an Campus, located to the west of the main campus. Covering more than 2,800 mu (around 187 hectares), the campus features two open‑air sports fields, an indoor sports hall, a library, three museums, an artificial lake, and even a small hill. The community consists of 24 residential buildings and offers convenient daily amenities, including a small general supermarket, a canteen, and a neighbourhood greengrocer. Transport connections are excellent, with bus routes 600, 166, 268, 321, and 322 serving the area. Metro Line 15 is expected to open by the end of 2025, further enhancing accessibility. Just across from the North Gate of Chang’an Campus is Xi’an Vanke Plaza, a large and modern shopping centre featuring a CR Vanguard hypermarket, a wide selection of restaurants and shops, and a cinema—making everyday life exceptionally convenient.
