Contact UsHello! My name is Cindy, and I’m an English teacher based in Qiqihar, Heilongjiang Province. With nearly 30 years of teaching experience, I’ve had the joy of guiding countless students on their language-learning journeys — and I still love every moment of it!
When school’s out, I spend my winter and summer holidays in Chengdu, where my daughter now lives and works. She’s a university physical education teacher who specialises in swimming and tai chi. Our family of four includes my wonderful husband, who’s a talented cook and fills our home with the delicious aromas of Chinese cuisine, and my 80-year-old father, whose wisdom and warmth bring us all closer together.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy taking on new challenges. Whether I’m out for a run, curled up with a good book, or catching up on my favourite TV series, I always find joy in learning and exploring. My home in Chengdu is full of laughter, love, and good food. Whether you’re curious about Chinese traditions, language, or just want to enjoy a home-cooked meal, my family and I would be delighted to meet you!
I live on the first floor of an 11-storey building in a peaceful neighbourhood, with a cosy and well-designed space of about 90 square metres. My home features three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The living room is spacious and simply decorated to create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. It connects seamlessly to the dining area, where a sturdy table serves as a lovely spot for shared meals, casual chats, or even quiet study sessions. The guest room, though modest in size, is thoughtfully furnished with a large 1.8m x 2m bed, a wardrobe for your belongings, and a big window that lets in plenty of natural light. Just next door is a modern shared bathroom with a clean, well-equipped shower. For those who enjoy cooking or preparing simple meals, the kitchen is fully stocked with essential kitchenware and ready to use.

Tree-lined paths, seasonal blooms, and ever-changing foliage create a vibrant, spring-like atmosphere all year round in the community where I live. It’s in the Shuangliu District of Chengdu. Residents enjoy a range of thoughtfully designed amenities, including a synthetic running track, a cheerful children’s play area, and a well-maintained badminton court. Each building also has a public activity space on the ground floor — some are cosy indoor tea lounges, others are open-air gathering spots or compact gyms. The nearby metro station is served by Lines 3 and 19, offering direct access to both Shuangliu and Tianfu Airports. Several bus stops, including Xingkong Road Longdu Intersection and Shuangnan Avenue Intersection, are just a short walk away, making daily commutes and weekend outings incredibly convenient.
