About Me

Hello! I am a retired high school Computer Science teacher, and I previously worked as an electronics engineer at SIEMENS. I can teach you everyday Chinese, industrial Chinese, and other types of professional Chinese. I live in Pingtung, Taiwan, and I enjoy camping, hiking, kitesurfing, and paragliding. I’m also a certified coach in all of these activities.

Over the years, I’ve had students from all around the world, and I always hope that learning Chinese can be naturally integrated into your daily life and hobbies. This way, you can enjoy a fun and stress‑free learning experience. I love meeting and hosting people. My home is in a peaceful rural neighbourhood with easy access to some small local shops, family‑run eateries and friendly cafés. Getting around is simple; a bike ride to Zhutian Station takes 15 minutes. The station offers regular TRA train services to Chaozhou, Pingtung City and Kaohsiung, making day trips effortless. Local buses connect the township with nearby towns, though services run less frequently, so planning ahead is helpful. For the most flexibility, guests can choose to explore by car or scooter, with quick access to Provincial Highway 88 for smooth travel across southern Taiwan.
